The rippling shapes in the joinery are inspired by the urban landscapes of South Africa - a place where shimmering corrugated metal sheets catch the eye almost everywhere you look. Challenging preconceptions of this common building material, the collection reimagines the use of corrugated iron, turning it into cherishable design objects.  Made from just three simple elements–a circle, a rectangle and corrugated legs. Strong enough to be used as a petite stool in a pinch, and striking enough to start a conversation.

With a foundation in traditional woodworking, Hanneke is fascinated by the permanence of wood, the precision it demands, and the creativity it can deliver. Each stool is handmade to order in Hanneke's studio on the West Coast.
