Collection: Boboutic

Boboutic was founded in Florence in 2000 by knitwear designer Michel Bergamo and architect and photographer Cristina Zamagni — a pairing that defines the brand's character: rigorous craft meeting an artistic, conceptual eye. In 2012, fashion designer Niccolò Magrelli joined the collective, deepening its commitment to material experimentation and form. The brand has shown at Paris Fashion Week since 2001. Central to everything Boboutic makes is a no-scissors philosophy: yarn is treated as an endless, unbroken line, kept intact throughout the production process to create seamless, sculptural garments of unusual depth and structure. Traditional knit-and-stitch techniques are combined with ongoing research into new materials and methods — the result is knitwear that is simultaneously innovative and rooted in Italian craft tradition. Surfaces are unexpected, shapes are sculptural, and each piece is conceived as part of a considered knitwear wardrobe rather than a seasonal trend. Boboutic is a foundational part of Alder & Co.'s offering and one of the shop's most distinctive voices.
