Join us at Alder East in Germantown for an evening with Upstate Diary and Joan Juliet Buck. Ms. Buck is the former editor in chief of Paris Vogue and her new memoir, The Price of Illusion, is featured in the latest issue of Upstate Diary alongside an extensive archive of photographs. We look forward to welcoming them for an evening of readings and wine on June 10th from 5-8pm.
The Henson studio, based in Australia, merges traditional techniques with contemporary construction to create beautiful organic forms. The aesthetic is shaped by a roughness that is born from the handmade nature of each piece. They start with salvaged silver, precious stones and gold, and their natural process ensures each piece is an individual one. Everything is made by hand which is evident in their experimental treatments, meticulous polishes, hand-crafted chain links, soldered connections, kiln casts, and oxidization forms.
