A book of poetry by artist Dawn Breeze.
This is a revelry in the beauty of mundanity and compilation of memories, memories like scribbles on cold windows in small circles made by warm breath. I have the desire to revisit the past from the present to glimpse the future, all futile gestures of grasping or gasping.
Many of the poems written in this book were in response to prompts about coffee and cookies given by poet Bernadette Mayer. A poet who once was a future dream to meet, and now a poet I’ve learned from, and played with. There are those among us whose brilliance lights those around them, with anarchist permission to see the poem as anything, and the poet as anyone. I am anyone. Bernadette’s diamond mind is brilliant.
